Jessica Torres, MA, LPCC, NCC, CCTP earned a Masters’ Degree in Counselor Education with a concentration in Clinical Mental Counseling from the University of Toledo in 2018. She obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Clinical Psychology from California State University, San Bernardino in 2013.
Before joining Julia Burrow, MD & Associates, Jessica worked in community mental health, primarily with children and adolescents. During her time in community mental health Jessica worked extensively in the treatment and assessment of children and adolescents experiencing a wide variety of concerns, including but not limited to ADHD, ODD, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and anxiety to name a few.
Jessica went on to open her own private practice in 2019 (JTG Counseling, LLC). Jessica also has experience working with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), eating disorders, self-injury behaviors, self-esteem concerns, depression, LGBTGEQIAP+, behavioral concerns, and both family and couples counseling.
Jessica speaks both Spanish and English. Jessica enjoys working with clients from various multicultural populations.
Jessica is a person-centered psychotherapist who utilizes an integrative approach to counseling. Jessica is specialized in the treatment of PTSD and is a certified clinical trauma professional (CCTP). Jessica ensures each treatment utilized is specialized for the unique needs of her clients.
In her spare time, Jessica enjoys spending time with her three dogs and close people in her life. She enjoys reading, yoga, and engages in daily meditation.
